Nicole Young, senior graphic designer at SiteRyze

Nicole has spent two decades designing for clients who cannot afford to look careless — health systems, Fortune 100 companies, state and city offices — where the brand rules are strict, the review process is long, and the work still has to look like someone made a decision.

She has worked with Justin for more than ten of those years, most of it at Fose + McKay, and joined SiteRyze for the shorter path between an idea and the version that ships. On your project she owns the look: layout, type, color, imagery and the creative that runs alongside the build.

Range

Design that has to work everywhere.

01

Digital and web

Website design, landing pages and the visual system underneath them — the part that keeps a site looking deliberate three years and four hundred edits later. She designs in step with the build rather than throwing files over a wall.

02

Advertising and video

Print and digital advertising, television production graphics and content video. Creative that has to hold up at billboard size, in a six-second pre-roll and in a newspaper insert — often for the same campaign. Feeds directly into paid media.

03

Print and reporting

Executive reports, print collateral and the long documents nobody enjoys designing. Twenty years of it, including work for Fortune 100 companies and major health systems here in Arizona.

04

Public sector

Design work for the Office of the Attorney General, the Governor’s Office of Education Excellence and the City of Glendale — public-facing material held to accessibility and brand standards that leave no room for improvising.

Selected clients

Ten years of it, at Fose + McKay.

Nicole designed the websites, the graphics and the ad creative for the accounts Justin built out of the Phoenix office — a symphony, a state retirement system, national foundations, a hospital group and a vacuum shop on 35th Avenue. She designed it; he built and implemented it. Ten years of that is why a SiteRyze project does not need a handoff meeting.

  • The Phoenix Symphony
  • PSPRS
  • Silent Witness
  • US Soccer Foundation
  • Pharmaceutical Care Management Association
  • Valleywise Health (then MIHS)
  • US Chamber of Commerce
  • 35th Avenue Sew and Vac
  • Support Sky Harbor
  • Jim Waring and other local candidates
  • Diane and Bruce Halle Foundation
  • Cox PAC

Plus a decade of smaller campaigns, rebrands and one-off print runs that never got a logo on a slide.

Background

Phoenix, start to finish.

Nicole is a Phoenix native with a bachelor’s degree in visual communication design from Arizona State University. Her work has been recognized with multiple industry awards, though she will not be the one to bring that up. What she will tell you is that the best-looking project is the one that also answered the question the client actually asked — which is why she sits in on the strategy conversations and not only the design ones.
